Spooky Stare Chocolate Halloween Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg My Better Batch Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • 8 TBSP Unsalted Butter, Softened
  • 1 Large Egg
  • Candy Eyeballs

Directions

  1. Getting Ready to Bake: Essential Prep Steps

First, let's get your oven ready to bake some Halloween cookies! Preheat it to 375°F (or 190°C). To make cleanup a breeze, you can line your cookie sheets with parchment paper.

  2. Mix the Cookie Dough

Take 1 package of My Better Batch Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter, softened, and 1 large egg. Combine the ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Using a stand mixer or hand mixer, beat on medium speed for 2-3 minutes or until fully combined.

  3. Form Cookie Dough Balls and Bake

Grab a spoon or cookie scoop and scoop out 2 tablespoons of the raw cookie dough. Roll each scoop into a small ball. Arrange the balls on the baking sheet, making sure they're about 2 ½ inches apart to give them room to spread out.

Bake for 9-11 minutes, or until the edges of the cookie are set.

  4. Apply Spooky Candy Eyeballs

Now, let's give our Halloween cookies some spooky eyes!

I always recommend leaving each batch on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack or plate to cool completely.

While the cookies are still warm and soft carefully press the candies into the top of the cookie.  Get creative and add as many eyes as you want! You can even get creative with different shapes, sizes, and colors.
