Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipes
If there’s one thing Mom deserves, it’s a cookie that says “I love you” in every bite and these Double Chocolate Cookies topped with a Hershey’s Hug or Kiss do just that.
They’re rich, fudgy, and packed with melty chocolate chips, but the real magic happens when you press a sweet little chocolate kiss or swirl-topped hug into the center of each warm cookie. It’s a simple gesture that feels extra special, just like Mom.
So preheat the oven, unwrap those chocolates, and get ready to bake some love.
Ingredients
-
1 pkg My Better Batch Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
- 1 Large Egg
- 8 TBSP Unsalted Butter, Softened
- 1 bag Hershey’s Kisses
- 1 bag Hershey’s Hugs
Directions
To bake the perfect batch of cookies, you’ll need to start by preheating your oven to 375°F. Line your baking sheets with parchment paper - you’ll thank yourself later when it’s time to clean up!
Unwrap 8 Hershey’s Kisses and 8 Hershey’s Hugs. Set aside in a cool place.
Add 1 package of Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, 8 tablespoons of unsalted butter that has been softened, and 1 large egg in a large mixing bowl. Mix on medium-low speed until the ingredients have been fully combined and a dough has formed.
Using a cookie scoop or large spoon, measure two tablespoons of dough at a time. Roll each scoop gently into a ball. Place each cookie 2 ½ inches apart on the cookie sheets.
Bake for 9-11 minutes or until you see that the edges of the cookies have set.
While the cookies are still warm, firmly press one Hug or Kiss in the center. Allow the cookies to cool fully and then enjoy!

Variations To Try
One of the best things about this recipe is how easy it is to make it your own. Here are a few fun and delicious ways to switch things up:
Mix Up the Kisses: Hershey’s makes tons of Kiss flavors! Try caramel-filled, almond, peppermint, or cookies 'n' crème for a fun flavor twist. You can even combine different types in one batch for variety.
Add a Pop of Color: Roll the dough balls in pastel sprinkles or sanding sugar before baking to make them extra festive for Mother’s Day or springtime gatherings.
Add a Touch of Salt: A sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top before baking can elevate the flavor and balance the sweetness - great for moms who love a sweet-salty combo.
These Double Chocolate Chip Cookies with a Hershey’s Hug or Kiss are more than just a dessert, they’re a sweet way to say “I love you, Mom.” With their rich, fudgy centers and a warm, melty chocolate hug or kiss on top, they’re as heartfelt as they are delicious.
