I love creating new flavors starting from one base. Take one base cookie recipe and turn it into six fun new flavors. Click here for my Sugar Cookie recipe: https://youtu.be/JkZK6yoNd1U
1. Celebration Cookies - Add Sprinkles to a small bowl. Gently roll your cookie dough ball into the decoration and bake at 375 degrees for 11-12 minutes.2/3. Oreo Cookie Crunch - Variation 1:
Add crushed Oreos to a small bowl. Gently roll your cookie dough ball into the cookie crumbs and gently press into the top of the dough to ensure cookie crumbs stick. Bake at 375 degrees for 11-12 minutes.
Oreo Cookie Crunch - Variation 2:
Add crushed Oreos to your cookie dough (as much or as little as you like; I use about 1/2 Cup to add color and texture but don't dry out the dough too much during baking). Bake at 375 degrees for 11-12 minutes. Once cool, top with simple, homemade Vanilla Icing. Don't forget to top with a few extra cookie crumbs!
Simple Vanilla Icing
1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter, Softened
3 Cups Powdered Sugar
1/4 Cup Milk
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Using your stand mixer, blend together until icing forms.
4. Birthday Cake Cookies - Fold 1/2 Cup multi-color sprinkles and 1/2 Cup White Chocolate Chips to the dough. Bake at 375 degrees for 11-12 minutes. Once cool, top with simple, homemade Vanilla Icing (recipe above). Don't forget to top with a few extra sprinkles.
5. Cinnamon Sugar Glazed - Roll your sugar cookie dough in mixture of 1/3 Cup Sugar and 1 tsp Cinnamon. Bake at 375 degrees for 11-12 minutes. Once cool, top with a simple Vanilla Glaze.
Simple Vanilla Glaze
3 TBSP Heavy Whipping Cream
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
Combine these ingredients with a whisk. Drizzle over cookie. To thicken, add more powdered sugar. If too thick, just add a very small amount of heavy whipping cream.
6. Fruit Pizza Cookies - Roll your sugar cookie dough ball into granulated sugar before baking. Place into a 375 degree oven and bake for 11-12 minutes. Once cool, dip the top in Vanilla Glaze (see recipe above). Finish with fresh chopped fruit. I like to use Kiwi, Strawberries, and Blueberries.
