Ingredients
Cookie Ingredients
-
1 pkg My Better Batch Classic Sugar Cookie Mix
- 8 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, Softened
- 1 Large Egg
- 1 1/2 tsp Maple Extract
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg Mix
Maple Icing Ingredients
-
1 1/2 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 3 TBSP Maple Syrup
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2-3 TBSP Milk
Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, add the Classic Sugar Cookie Mix, softened butter, egg, maple extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Start mixing on low speed until the ingredients begin to come together, then increase to medium until a soft dough forms.
Using a cookie scoop or spoon, take 2 tablespoons of dough and gently roll into a ball. Place the dough onto your prepared baking sheet, leaving 2 ½ inches between each cookie for spreading.
Bake for 9-11 minutes or until the edges of the cookies have set. Once removed from the oven, allow the cookies to rest on the cookie sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
While the cookies are cooling, prepare the maple icing.
In a medium bowl, pour 1 ½ cups powdered sugar, 3 tablespoons maple syrup, and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract.
Whisk the ingredients together.
Add 2–3 tablespoons milk, one tablespoon at a time, until the icing is smooth.
Once the cookies are completely cool, drizzle or spread the icing generously over the tops, letting it drip down the sides for that classic French toast look. For an extra finishing touch, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over the icing before it sets!
In less than 20 minutes, you’ll have a delicious, ready-to-share batch of cookies!
