Festive Holiday Blondies

1/2 Cup Unsalted Butter, Softened
1 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Egg + 1 Egg Yolk
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Cup Holiday M&M's
1/2 Cup Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

For the Reindeer Decoration

Red M&M's
Candy Eyes
Mini Pretzel Twists

In a medium-size mixing bowl combine all dry ingredients: Flour, Salt, Baking Powder. Use a whisk to gently blend together and set aside.

In a large bowl, add Softened Butter and Brown Sugar. Using a hand mixer, mix on medium for about 3-4 minutes until a smooth consistency forms. Then, add Egg and Egg Yolk and Vanilla Extract. Mix on medium for another 30-45 seconds until the ingredients are well combined. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients about 1/3 at a time. Mix on medium low until just combined and there are no visible signs of dry ingredients. Be careful not to overmix the dough. Gently fold in the M&M's and Chocolate Chips with a spatula.

Line an 8x8 baking dish with parchment paper and add dough. Gently press dough into the bottom of the baking dish so that it evenly covers the entire surface. Bake at 350 degrees for 22-24 minutes. (TIP: Blondies will have a soft, gooey center and firm, golden outer edge. Your Blondie is done baking when it's slightly "jiggly" and shiny on top but the edges look fully baked.)

To decorate the top with Reindeer, you will use 2 - Mini Pretzel Twists for the antlers, 2 Candy Eyes, and 1 Mini Red M&M for the nose. You can decorate with as few or as many as you'd like! (TIP: it's important to decorate with reindeer as soon as the Blondie comes out of the oven!) Once cool, gently pull on the parchment paper to remove the Festive Holiday Blondie from the baking dish and cut into squares before serving. Enjoy!
